Flood February Fiesta (Fiasco)! What we've learn...
February 2002..
Still fresh in my mind the day I arrived from Singapore to Jakarta, hoping to set up my own business in my home town, and yet the Jakarta was flooding! I also remember how tricky I am to choose the flight in hoping that Cengkareng Airport in free from flood...
Ferbruary 2007..
Marked how many years I've been in this place, I still loving it no matter what..
What I remember today is the image I did when I was in New Zealand, exploring about modernized Indonesian Vernacular architecture. The closest thing to that approach is Bintaro House ( in the design process) , but also still far from the real concept, that we should go back what our ancestor did in designing the building, high above the ground, let the ground be part of the natural habitat, and we, human with our capability to adapt live above it...
